Alvin Ng Theng Haw

Adjunct Associate Professor

Alvin Ng has over 25 years of leadership experience, holding key positions in renowned organisations such as Cisco Systems, General Electric and Johnson Controls. As Regional Vice President for APAC at Johnson Controls, he successfully grew the digital sustainability segment from US$5 million to US$50 million in 2.5 years. At General Electric, Alvin served as General Manager of GE Digital Asia, where he launched and expanded an industrial IoT platform into aUS$40 million business. His last role was as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Aboitiz Data Innovation, driving AI and data innovations.

Alongside his corporate career, Alvin is an adjunct associate professor at NTU and Sasin School of Management, specialising in AI, IoT and digital transformation. He also mentors Global Executive MBA students, fostering future leadership.

Ian Yong Hoe Tan

Lecturer

Ian lectures in strategic communications at Nanyang Technological University, covering areas such as advertising, journalism and AI-driven communications. With over 22 years of experience across media, technology, gaming and business leadership, he has held leadership roles at Lenovo, Razer and Microsoft. He has led large-scale marketing and AI adoption initiatives across global markets, including scaling businesses and driving AI-capable technology adoption.

Ian also consults and trains organisations on Generative AI, AI imaging and communications. His work combines technology, storytelling, visual communication and pedagogy to help professionals learn and lead in the age of AI.
