Capstone Phases:

1. Phase 1: Discover & Frame

2. Phase 2: Redesign with Agentic AI

3. Phase 3: Prototype (No-Code)

4. Phase 4: Responsible AI

5. Phase 5: Scale & Pitch

Introduction to Phase: Redesign with Agentic AI

This phase focuses on redesigning the workflow using Agentic AI principles. Building on the findings from Phase 1, you will create a future-state workflow that addresses the identified friction points while maintaining appropriate human oversight and decision-making.

Every redesign decision should be directly traceable to a problem identified in your workflow diagnostic.

Your Task

Step 1 – Define the Agent

Complete the agent specification.

For the agent, define:

  • Job
  • Input
  • Output
  • Tools or references used
  • Human checkpoint

Ensure the agent addresses a meaningful workflow problem identified in Phase 1.

Step 2 – Define Decision Rights

Complete the decision rights table.

For each decision, indicate whether:

  • Agent decides
  • Human decides
  • Agent recommends and human confirms

Ensure ownership is clear and unambiguous.

Step 3 – Describe What Changes

Write one paragraph describing how the workflow changes.

Focus on the workflow rather than the technology.

Explain:

  • What becomes faster
  • What becomes safer
  • What remains unchanged

Self-Check Before Moving On

  • Does the agent have a clearly defined job, input and output?
  • Are decision rights clearly assigned?
  • Does the redesign address the friction identified in Phase 1?
  • Does the workflow description explain what becomes faster, safer and unchanged?

When to Complete

Complete this phase alongside Modules 4–6.

Word Limit: 1500
Estimated Duration: 3 Hours

Submission Note

  • Use the same template to add responses that you downloaded in Phase 1.
  • Add your responses to phase 2 slides #8 to #11 of the capstone project template.
  • You can add more slides to a task if required.
  • You do not need to submit Phase 2 as a standalone assignment.
  • Submit the completed capstone deck in Week 18.

This is a required assignment and counts towards programme completion.

Here is the rubric that will be used to grade your Phase 2 submission when you submit your completed capstone deck in Week 18.

Maximum points: 20

(6)

The submission completes 2–3 decisions and specifies decision ownership.
(3)

The submission completes fewer than 2 decisions or does not specify decision ownership.
