Learning Outcomes Addressed:
Define Agentic AI and differentiate it from traditional automation and generative AI. Describe how autonomous systems make decisions within workflows. Translate operational challenges into governance and workflow design decisions.
Discussion Prompt:
Throughout this programme, we've explored how AI is evolving from a search tool into a collaborative digital teammate.
Many professionals use AI every day. But using AI is not the same as partnering with AI.
Take a moment to reflect on one task where you currently use AI in your work.
Consider the following questions:
1. How do you currently use AI?
Describe the task and how AI supports you today.
2. Are you offloading work or creating a partnership?
Think about whether AI is simply helping you complete a task faster, or whether it is actively improving your thinking, decision-making, learning, or problem-solving process.
3. What would a true AI partnership look like?
If AI became a genuine collaborator for this task, what would change? How would responsibilities be shared between you and the AI?
4. How could this increase your velocity?
Would it improve:
- Decision velocity (making better decisions faster)?
- Learning velocity (learning, adapting and improving more quickly)?
- Both?
Provide a specific example.
5. What experiment will you run this week?
Identify one practical experiment you can conduct over the next seven days to move from tool usage toward partnership.
Reflection Prompt
The organisations that create the most value from AI are rarely the ones with the most tools.
They are often the ones that learn how to combine human judgment with machine capability in new ways.
Where do you see the biggest opportunity in your own work to move from using AI to partnering with AI?
We also encourage you to go through your peers' responses and share your views.
Estimated Duration: 15 minutes
NOTE: This is a practice activity and will not be graded or impact your programme completion. However, we strongly encourage participation for a more holistic learning experience.
